Licenced Fund Management Company (LFMC): Licence Application

    How can a registered fund management company ("RFMC") convert its registration to a capital markets services ("CMS") licence for fund management?

    An RFMC must submit an application for a capital markets services licence to upgrade from an RFMC, commonly, to an A/I LFMC, i.e. a licensed fund management company restricted to servicing qualified investors, namely accredited investors and institutional investors.

    For this application, the applicant RFMC must submit forms 1A, 3A and 11 for the company, its representatives and its directors, as well as, additional supporting documents. When the RFMC regime is repealed, a special, simplified form will be required for the conversion.
